Veterans Home Care LLC is pleased to announce that the company’s president, Bonnie Laiderman, has been made a member of the Tiffany Circle of the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter. Each year, the American Red Cross St. Louis Area Chapter hosts the Lifesaver Awards Breakfast to honor local heroes, in 10 categories, who have exhibited extraordinary efforts to help to those in critical need. At this year’s event, held March 13th, Bonnie was given the honor of presenting the Military award to Lieutenant Colonel Dan Reece, for acting heroically above and beyond the call of duty.
“It’s such an honor to be able to present the award,” Laiderman said. “Our company works with hundreds of wartime veterans every day, many of whom risked their lives for our country. We should take every opportunity we can to honor our military and veterans old and young, particularly people like Lt. Col. Reece, and to try to repay the debt we owe for their heroism.”
Veterans Home Care, a woman-owned business headquartered in St. Louis, was founded in 2003 to help wartime veterans and their surviving spouses who qualify, apply for a non-service related disability pension from the Department of Veterans Affairs, which pays for assistance with activities of daily living in their homes. VHC’s VetAssist® Program provides home care, assigns attendant care workers and follows up to assure that the veteran remains in compliance with VA guidelines to continue receiving the pension. Veterans Home Care has helped more than 7,000 veterans or their surviving spouses to access VA benefits for the care they need.
